Conceptual magazine striving to grasp the audience of designers and illuminate the idea of designers impact on the environment. This magazines intentions are to influence designers to begin to design with the planet in mind.
The design of the magazine shows this abstract geometric earth. The design of this implements that there is a new way that we need to look at Earth for the new generation. The concept of this magazine is to make the environmental issues a concern for those who normally wouldn’t be concerned with the issues. The random lines within the circle show the complexity of the ideas while also implementing the idea of the aesthetic of the magazine.
The color combination promotes a sense of nature while also implementing the education factor of the magazine. While green is often associated with the environment - the green applied in this design is more faded to identify that this a different idea from other environment magazines. Also, the focus on the color green for issue one promotes the idea of growth for creators as well as EARTHED MAG. As the first issue of the magazine, the concept is developed for the future issues of the magazine here. The primary color will change depending on the theme of the magazine issue.
The magazine is based on a complex grid to simplify the layout of each spread. The importance of the grid is to allow consistently and minimalism in the planning throughout the magazine, while also allowing flexibility.
